Job Title: Head of Security & Investigations
1. The Organization:
1.3 Tanzania Posts Corporation (TPC) is a national designated public
postal operator established by Act of Parliament No. 19 of 1993
and became operational on 1st January, 1994. The Corporation is
wholly owned by the Government of the United Republic of
Tanzania. The principal function of the Corporation is to provide
universal postal and ancillary services within and between places
outside the United Republic of Tanzania.
1.4 The Corporation is looking for a suitably qualified Tanzania citizen
of high personal integrity to fill the position of Head of Security &
Investigation Unit.
2. Reporting Relationship:
The successful candidate will be stationed at the
Corporation’s
Headquarters in Dar-es-Salaam and shall report directly to
the
Postmaster General & CEO.
3. Objectives:
6.1 To ensure worker’s optimum safety and security and to ensure that
all types of assets owned and entrusted to the Corporation are safe
and secured.
6.2 To ensure optimum security and safety in the provision of postal
and ancillary services according to the Corporation’s policy
objectives and mission.
4. Duties and Responsibilities:
4.1 To develop/review, implement and evaluate safety and security
programmes and activities.
4.2 To handle expeditiously all complaints,
inquiries and allegations
submitted by TPC stakeholders and provide advise to the
higher
management.2
as well as Security Code of Conduct.3
5.7 Follow all Tanzanian laws pertaining to performance of duty
(use of force is forbidden).
5.8 Exhibits high standards of business personal ethical conducts
and confident dealing with all levels of management.
5.9 Outstanding communication skills – oral, written and
presentation in both English and Kiswahili.
5.10 Exhibits high standards of business personal ethical conduct

6. Other personal attributes:
6.1 Posses high level of integrity, honest, credibility and trustworthy.
6.2 Ability to analyze and articulate large amounts of complex

foresee, identify and
mitigate them.
6.3 Self confident and ability to work independently with minimum
supervisions.
6.4 Computer literate at least Microsoft Office applications.
6.5 Ability to interact and influence others to achieve results
without line management responsibility.
6.6 Fast learner with acceptable and credible attitude and ardent
Team Player.
