Position Description:
Tanzania Association of Social Workers (TASWO) is non-governmental Professional
Association. The association is funded by the US President’s Emergency Plan for
Aids Relief (PEPFAR) through the American International Health Alliance (AIHA)
TASWO acts as a liaison body which incorporates National, Regional al’1d
International associations in furthering’ the development of social work
professional values, ethics and interest. The association is looking for a
suitable and qualified person to fill the following position:
Reporting to: The Executive Committee (EC)
DSM (With travel when need arises)
Duties and Responsibilities
Development Director shall perform but not limited to the following duties:
Develop funding proposals to enhance association’s (TASWO) revenues to
accomplish its strategic plan
Liaise the association with development partners for funding partnership
Implement the plans in accordance with financial and fundraising committee
plans.
Monitor and evaluate all fundraising activities to ensure TASWO achieve its
goals
Develop and manage timelines for various fund raising activities. I
Develop policies and procedures that reflect ethical fundraising practices
Required Qualifications& Skills
Possess at least Masters Degree preferably MBA from recognized Institution
Working experience in project development preferably in NGOs is an asset
Excellent writing, interpersonal and presentation skills
Good IT skill-computer literate in office package Fundraising Management is an
asset Knowledge in HIV/AIDS and other issues Sound Business development skills
.
Fluent in English and Swahili languages
Experience
3 to 5 years experience in fundraising or related activities
