Mechanical Leader
Kuala Lumpur
Responsibilities:
1. Lead and supervise mechanical technicians to perform routine preventative maintenance, trouble shooting, inspections, repairs and overhauls on all offshore equipment associated with mechanical type machinery eg, gas turbines, gas compressors, cranes, hydraulic systems, quarters support equipment, valves, piping, watermakers, pumps, etc
2. Responsible for operating and maintaining all test equipment, precision tools, hand tools, rigging equipment etc in good condition.
3. Ensure all maintenance performed confirms with safety rules and standards, permit to work and co-ordinates his work on the platform with other activities to maximise the safety of personnel and equipment.
4. Ensure that inventories of spare parts, maintenance supplies, consumables, lube oils, and special replacements parts are maintained / available stock to ensure continuous operation.
5. Ensuring all updated data for maintenance, overhaul or adjustments are accurately recorded by the subordinates.
6. Plans and supervise Critical Device Function Testing, routine / preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment, valves, pumps, etc and update data and review findings with supervisor.
7. Ability to conduct safety meetings and safety training.
8. Provide training for mechanical technicians, monitor performance and identifying other training requirement.
9. Train and develop subordinates to achieve high competency level.
10. Prepares routine / special isolation and maintenance reports.
11. Review daily operation /machinery data and identify actions for safe operation.
12. Ensuring good housekeeping standard on equipment / platform.
13. Assist crane operations or other work discipline when required.
14. Relieve as Maintenance Supervisor.
15. Record and maintain data and events related platform operation maintenance, condition and downtime.
16. Respond to emergencies as part of the Offshore Emergency Response Team. Carryout all responsibilities, audits etc as required by the TML Safety Management System.
Requirements:
Qualification
Certificate of Engineering from recognised Polytechnics or oil industry experience, which provides equivalent engineering training.
Experience & Requirements
At least 10 years in maintenance field of which 5 years as Lead Mechanical Technician in oil and gas industry
Special Skills
The job holder should hold special skills as follows:
1. Turbomachinery experience is preferred.
2. Must be proficient in reading, writing and conversing in English and Bahasa Malaysia system
3. Capable of organising, planning, troubleshooting and working independently with
4. minimum supervision. Supervise and provide training for mechanical technicians.
