Sustainable Health Enterprises (SHE) is a social enterprise jump-starting
businesses to help drive Rwanda’s economy, employing local individuals and
using local materials. Its first business is manufacturing and distributing a
derivative paper-based product, affordable quality menstrual pads, to tackle
the problem of girls and women whose lack of access to quality and affordable
sanitary pads leads to poor performance both in schools and economic
efficiency, hence hindering economic growth.
- Work with the COO to identify and
set up multiple appropriate raw material procurement systems including
maintaining a healthy relationship with both suppliers and distributors of
the SHE pad - Establish project monitoring plan
and system for identifying and tracking the indicators and develop
processes/procedures and forms to support monitoring, this may include
reviewing systems for capturing and reporting data - Oversee data collection to ensure
quality and consistency and compile and disseminate information in
appropriate formats as needed for production planning and progress
reviews. - Provide technical assistance and
training to staff and partners in the - design and implementation of
M&E activities in the procurement, production, sales and distribution - Ensure that all reports and
related deliverables including sales and - distribution work plans and
performance monitoring plans required by SHE and other stakeholders are
produced and delivered on time and are of a consistently high quality. - Work with SHE team to monitor cash
collections and proper banking systems by distributors in addition to
offering advice on best cash collection methods. - Organize internal and external
evaluations of the sales and distribution of sanitary pads. - Assist COO in business development
projects like research, collecting info, writing proposals, search for
potential funding nationally and internationally and prepare support doc
for that. - Social media: blogging, twitter, facebook
etc - Advocacy; talk about SHE to people
and attract support whenever. - Actively suggest opportunities
where SHE can play a role.
Education

- At least 2-5 years of experience
in business, operations - Knowledge of sustainable
businesses from supply chain to sales - Ability and willingness to work in
rural areas if manufacturing is based outside Kigali and flexibility in utilizing
local transport means. - A strong leader with interpersonal
skills to motivate and communicate at all levels throughout the business. - Results focused using fact based
decision making. - Positive and proactive, taking
ownership of all issues. - The ability to work under
pressure, and tight timescales while being a team player. - Creative and innovative approach
to problem solving. - Have an eye for detail
- Must have good communication
skills and be able to present both spoken and written reports, with
fluency in English and Kinyarwandan is a plus
