Responsibilities:
• Key responsibility covers the entire solar part quality during development phase till high volume production
• Track supplier metrics; ensure material non-conformance issues are communicated in real-time with suppliers and drive corrective and preventive action plans
• Implement a proactive approach to supplier corrective action requests (SCARs/NCRs) &/or Corrective Action/Preventive Action (CAPA) requests across the supply-chain
• Triggers SCARs/CAPAs, performing root cause analysis, assigning follow up actions while effectively tracking and routing cases from initiation to closure
• Monitoring supplier performance on scorecards to proactively identify and implement timely corrective actions and improve supplier performances
• Interact routinely with Program management, Purchasing, Design and Suppliers to pro actively improve quality of components & modules.
• Interact routinely with the 3rd party auditors who conduct pre-shipment inspection and load supervision at module suppliers’site. Ensure on-time shipping without compromising quality.
• Continually work with suppliers to improve performance, implement process control and quality plans which need to start from the part development phase onward
• Continuously analyze and make assessment on supplier quality systems, technical capability and production control
• Continuously analyze supplier capabilities & develop and maintain supplier quality metrics
• Work with project work teams to define project deliverables, project planning, etc
• Need to develop and deploy Supplier Management Systems
Requirements:
• Degree in Engineering (mechanical) or equivalent
• Minimum 3 – 5 years of work experience in supplier quality position and with good exposure in auditing & supplier qualification
• Experience in the fields of quality and reliability engineering. Solid track record in quality management systems with SPC, FMEA, 8Dy, Six Sigma and 5S
• A certified ISO 9001 Auditor or equivalent with experience in conducting supplier audit.
• Strong knowledge in part approval process and knowledge in PPAP is an added advantage.
• Familiar with PV module standard IEC62125, IEC61730, and UL1703, quality management system and related certification artwork will be an added advantage.
• Interact routinely with Purchasing, Engineering and Suppliers to pro actively improve quality of components.
