Reporting to the Agricultural Workshop Superintendents, the successful applicant’s duties will be:
• To allocate and direct subordinate staff to specific job tasks and monitor their performance standards.
• To review repair orders, specify spare parts requirements and initiate requisitions for approval by the Workshop Superintendent,
• To provide technical guidance and advise to technicians and artisans as and when requested and give them on the job training to enhance skills capacity building.
• To ensure that the necessary tools and implements are available for carrying out the assigned jobs and tasks.
• To keep proper records of completed work after inspection, pending work and new work being brought,
• To ensure that adequate safety precautions are in place and maintain a clean working environment in the workshop at all times.
• To perform such other duties as may be dictated by prevailing or as assigned by the Workshop Superintendent/Management from time to time.
Job requirement
Qualifications:
• Higher Diploma (HTD) in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering or equivalent polytechnic certificates plus a certificate in Basic Supervisory Management
• Computer knowledge In MS Word, MS Excel and Power Point,
• Five years hands on experience as senior mechanic in similar environment.
