The research work was based on environmental health
implication of soil erosion in Sapele metropolis, Sapele Local Government Area of
Delta State. The population of Sapele metropolis is 142,652 persons. A targeted
population of 20,000 persons a sample size of 120 respondents was used. But the
researcher use adult ranging from 18 and above from the (8) eight quarters. The
multi –stage sampling technique was used which involved.

random technique: the researcher used the simple random technique buttoning
without replacement in order to select 15 respondents from each stratum which
gives a total number of 120 respondents from the eight strata. In conducting
the sample random sampling, the researcher collected the number of the entire
participant in each of the strata which is the eight communities. A card was
make yes or no was folded, shuttered and placed in a container before the
people and were ask to pick from the container one after the other without
replacement of the card and people that picked yes were selected as respondents
size until the number was completed in order to obtain reasonable and factual
response.
