Our client is a medium sized owner operator. As a result of growth in the sector, they currently have a need for a Surveyor to work within their underground operation. Their mine is located in North Queensland and it will provide the kind of work/ life balance that is highly sort after within the industry. The benefit of working with a company of this size is that you will get a greater exposure to a range of areas and more control over your work.
Reporting into the Senior Surveyor, your day to day duties you will involve the following:
• Set up and maintain survey control at the site
• Set out for mine excavation blocks in accordance with mine design
• Survey data collection as required
• End of month reporting and calculations
• Providing working design plans as required
• Assisting in Mine Planning and Design as required
To be successful in this role ideally you will have:
• Tertiary qualifications in surveying or at a diploma level
• 2+ years experience in an underground mining environment
• The ability to work in a team environment as well as unsupervised.
• Software experience with Surpac would be an advantage.
