Our client, a major mining house with operations globally including a number across NSW is seeking a Geology Superintendent for their NSW operations. You will join the technical services department in a leadership capacity and work towards enhancing the company’s current reserves and increase overall production. This client operates within the coal mining industry and is continuing to achieving strong results, along with continuing near mine exploration for their surrounding tenements.
Your key duties will include:
• Leading a team of skilled Geologist’s
• Driving/ coaching and mentoring the geology team to achieve KPI’s
• Implementation, planning, scheduling and supervision of resource definition drill programs
• Compilation of daily, weekly and monthly reports
• Mapping and resource modeling
• Liaising between departments to ensure smooth interface of production plans
• Maintaining workplace health and safety
To be successful in this role, ideally you will be:
• Over 8 years of experience within mining
• Tertiary qualified in geology or related discipline
• Underground and / or open cut coal mining experience at a senior level
• A self starter with strong interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership skills
