Overall Objectives
Reporting to the General Manager, Human Resources & Administration, the job
holder will be responsible for driving the HR Strategy and ensuring operational
efficiency and delivery of services.
Therefore, the key responsibilities for the position will be:
Key Objectives
- Managing the HR function
 through effective team work;
- Developing and implementing
 effective recruitment and retention strategies;
- Ensuring effective recruitment,
 deployment, training and development, dissemination of HR information,
 payroll management and performance management;
- Overseeing the staffing
 function including appointments, promotions and transfers;
- Supporting senior management on
 a wide range of people issues that include reward, absence and discipline
 to enable them realize their HR needs;
- Challenging the established
 practice, making improvements and managing the subsequent organizational
 changes;
- Reviewing HR policies and
 procedures to ensure that they are compliant with the labour laws and to
 reflect best practice.
- Participating in Collective
 Bargaining Agreements (CBA) negotiations and is responsible for its
 implementation.

- A degree in Social Sciences;
- Postgraduate Diploma
 in Human Resources Management;
- Ten (10) years’ experience of
 which five (5) must be at a senior managerial level.

Overall Objective
Reporting to the General Manager, Board and Legal Affairs, the Job Holder will
be responsible for providing secretarial services to the Board and Chairman of
the Board, handling litigation and disputes cases and advising Management on
all legal matters concerning the organization.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this position will be:
- Managing the staff in the Department.
- Managing the Litigation and
 Disputes function through effective team work, liaison with court
 officials, third parties and legal representatives.
- Prosecuting and defending legal
 cases on behalf of the Authority.
- Defining and setting
 performance standards and working procedures for the department.
- Developing mentoring programmes
 for staff to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Monitoring compliance with
 agreed systems and procedures to enhance
 timely, efficient and effective prevention and execution of business
 risks.
- Preparation of the Departmental
 budgeting and exercising financial control to contain expenditure within
 the authorized limits.
- Safeguarding the Authority’s
 real property interests.
- Supervising external advocates.
- Establishing procedures to
 handle customer complaints.
- Preparation, execution and
 disposal of legal documents.
- Advising Management and
 relevant departments on changes in law such as the introduction of
 exclusive clauses that may affect business activities, trends, leases and land
 use.
- Processing consents for
 sub-leases, transfers and charges.
- Receiving requests for land use
 from stakeholders and liaises with the Land use Committee for execution of
 the requests.
- Handling issues that arise from
 land and contract disputes and supporting the arbitration process.
- Drawing Legal Notices.
- Undertaking any other
 specialized duties assigned by an authorized officer.
An applicant for this position is required to have:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Law
- A postgraduate Diploma in Law
- Ten (10) years’ experience in a
 busy Litigation Department dealing with dispute resolution and claims
 settlement of which three (3) must be in Board secretarial services.
- In additional, the applicant
 must be an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya
- A current practicing license
- Good judgment.
- Planning and organization
 skills.
- Good negotiation skills.
- Keen attention to detail
- Good oral and written communication
 skills.
Overall Objective

be responsible for handling all contracts and conveyancing matters concerning
the organization. The job holder will also provide leadership to the Contracts
and Conveyancing Department.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibilities for this position will be:
- Managing the staff in the
 Department.
- Managing the Contracts and
 Conveyancing function through effective team work, liaison with court
 officials, third parties and legal representatives.
- Preparation of the Departmental
 budget and exercising financial control to contain expenditure within the
 authorized limits.
- Safeguarding the Authority’s
 real property interests.
- Preparation, execution and
 disposal of legal documents.
- Advising Management and
 relevant departments on changes in law such as the introduction of
 exclusive clauses that may affect business activities and trend.
- Processing consents for
 sub-leases, transfers and charges.
- Receiving requests for land use
 from stakeholders and liaises with the Land use Committee for execution of
 the requests.
- Handling issues that arise from
 land and contract disputes and supporting the arbitration process.
- Drawing Legal Notices.
- Serves as the Authority’s
 liaison Officer with courts, third parties and legal representatives on
 legal matters.
- Perusing minutes of the Leasing
 Committee and Land Use Committee and taking action as directed therein.
- Undertakes any other
 specialized duties assigned by an authorized officer.

- A Bachelor’s degree in Law
- A postgraduate Diploma in Law
- Ten (10) years’ experience in a
 busy contracts and conveyancing department of which three (3) must be in
 Board secretarial services.
