About
the Position
This
role is central to the operation, reliability and maintenance of the Tarong
Power Stations. You will be responsible for providing specialised technical and
asset management advice to ensure the reliability of the plant. This position
will take a lead role in the turbine area and provide leadership in the
development and implementation life cycle planning and other long term
maintenance strategies.
Partnering
with the operations and maintenance teams you will ensure reliable and safe
running of the plant. As a technical leader you will foster a culture of
continuous improvement and safety leadership.
About
You
  • Significant
    experience in a similar position within the power generation or heavy
    process industry
  • Extensive
    knowledge of steam and gas turbines, condensers and feed heating plant,
    boiler feed pumps
  • Tertiary
    qualification in Mechanical Engineering with RPEQ qualification
  • Demonstrated
    ability to develop and implement practical engineering solutions
  • Highly
    developed leadership skills, with the ability to lead and direct cross
    functional projects and teams including consultants and third party
    contractors
  • Excellent
    interpersonal skills with the ability to mentor others and knowledge share
  • Sound
    business acumen including budget management and report writing
