Stanley Park Ecology Society EcoRanger & Creatures of the Night Coordinator Job Vacancy in Vancouver, British Columbia

Description
The Stanley Park Ecology Society (SPES) promotes awareness of and respect for the natural world and plays a leadership role in the stewardship of Stanley Park through collaborative initiatives in education,
research and conservation. We are seeking an energetic, creative and passionate volunteer coordinator to recruit, train and supervise a team of at least 40 volunteers for two programs: EcoRangers (June — August) and Creatures of the Night (September- October).

EcoRangers provide an amazing service throughout the summer months: interacting with the public and interpreting the surrounding wildlife and habitat, promoting upcoming events and activities run by the Stanley Park Ecology Society and providing directions and information throughout the park.

Creatures of the Night is a specially designed program, encouraging families and the general public to connect with nature through a theatrical nighttime walk through the park. These volunteers play an important role in delivery of this program as animal actors, interpreters, trail assistants, and information and registration assistants.

You will be working out of the historic Dining Pavilion as well as the Stanley Park Nature House on Lost Lagoon and report to the Public Programs Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity to share your experience and skills with dedicated volunteers and connect people with nature.
