The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Coordinator coordinates and provides technical support and
expertise to STAV team members, partners and communities on monitoring, evaluation and learning. Advice and support will particularly be focused on participatory community based action research models to address violence against women and strategies to measure changes resulting from capacity building, partnership and advocacy. The position will be responsible for the design and implementation of MEL systems as well as applying and coordinating the use of MEL and action research strategies and methodologies at field and national level and will contribute to positive communication and knowledge sharing with staff and partners.
To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:
• Minimum 3 years of experience in MEL, action research, participatory reflective and adaptive methodologies and models of monitoring and learning, preferably related to gender-based violence , international or community development and/or human rights in a cross cultural context
• Relevant qualifications and knowledge of MEL, with a particular focus on evaluating development processes, partner relationships, community driven initiatives, and a broad understanding of programming and gender issues
• Experience in developing robust MEL systems, monitoring and review tools and processes
• Experience in mentoring and capacity building of staff
• Experience in working with partners, communities and other stakeholders
• Sound coordination, administrative and computer skills
