The St. Paul Journal
has an immediate opening in its newsroom for a sports/news reporter.
We’re looking for someone who puts people first in coverage, whether the story
is about the hometown football team’s championship run or the 100-year-old
farmer who still works on the family homestead. Candidates must not only be
able to coordinate the sports schedule, which includes coverage of two Junior B
hockey teams, curling, school sports, r

able to coordinate the sports schedule, which includes coverage of two Junior B

pitch in with our news and feature reporting.
There’s never a shortage of news in St. Paul, which can keep a writer on his or
her toes and which has given our newsroom a chance to cover stories that have
made headlines across the country. We’re looking for the right candidate to
build on that energy and contribute to our award-winning product.
Qualifications
Preference will be
given to a candidate with a journalism degree, and ideally, experience working
within a community newspaper setting. Applicants must own a vehicle.
