Hours of work:
Mon. 7:00 am – 11:30 am,
Tue. to Thurs. 1:00 pm – 5:30 pm,
Fri. 12 pm – 4:30 pm
* Due to illness, in the short term, more hours are available:
Mon. – Fri. 7:00/8:00 am. – 3:30/4:30 pm
Objective:
The primary objective of this position is to ensure that the quality of our produce meets our standards.
Main responsibilities:
* Check the accuracy of deliveries against Purchase Orders and invoices
* Check the quality of produce deliveries & date all cases
* Return poor quality produce to vendors
* Check the quality of produce on the line
* Do quality prepping of produce as needed
* Help Produce Preppers bag produce as needed
* Report any produce issues to Produce Manager (supplier shorts/subs, poor quality, returns, etc.)
* Visit vendors to pick up produce as needed
* Keep produce station, tools, and equipment clean and organized
* Any other tasks as assigned by the Produce Manager
Punctuality and productivity:
* Arrive to work on time and work efficiently and productively while you are here.
* Take only allotted breaks and return to work promptly after.
* Come to work regularly with a minimum of sick time.
Requirements:
* Completion of secondary education
* Attention to detail
* Ability to lift up to 50 lb. on a regular basis
Starting wage: $13.75/hour
