Job Description:
Spark
MicroGrants is seeking a Monitoring & Evaluations (M&E) Intern to
provide technical assistance, support and coordination for the Spark
MicroGrants M&E systems in Rwanda.
M&E Intern
responsibilities include:
     
Developing and updating resources and tools for
Spark MicroGrants M&E system, including literature reviews, surveys, and
databases;
     
Assisting with ongoing M&E efforts for current
programming, including data entry;
     
Performing and supporting regular collection of
M&E data in the field;
     
Analyzing M&E data to support reporting to
donors;
     
Designing and implementing capacity building and
technical support for peers and field staff and partners (training, coaching,
mentoring, etc.) specific to M&E.
Required Qualifications:
     
Applicants must be a graduate, or be about to
finish University in a relevant degree program
     
Highly analytical mindset, including outstanding
research skills
     
Superb oral and written communications skills in
English
     
Advanced critical thinking and logical reasoning,
with the ability to take initiative and work independently
     
Flexible and able to work in many different
environments, often under short deadlines
     
Demonstrated interest in international development,
public policy, advocacy
     
Strong quantitative skills
     
Highly proficient in computer skills, especially
Microsoft Word and Excel
 Preferred Qualifications:
     
Coursework and/or hands-on experience with
evaluation methods, including focus groups and survey design and administration
     
Advanced skills in statistics and quantitative
reporting
     
Software knowledge, including Salesforce and
statistical software such as R, STATA, SAS, SPSS
     
Fluency in Kinyarwanda
