Responsibilities:
o Supervise a network of 5-8 kiosks in a distance of up to 1 hour travel from
the basis (cluster center), each kiosk is managed by an Operator
o Lead the Operators, i.e. be the direct superior, be the first person of
contact for all problems at the kiosk; lead by example.
o Visit each kiosk at least once per week.
o Be the link between the head office in Dar es Salaam and the kiosk, request
immediate support in case of technical problems.
o Check compliance by Kiosk Operator (opening and closing hours, cleanliness,
proper maintenance, stock management, etc.)
o Report to head office in time (Regional Manager), never miss deadlines
o Perform stock-takes at kiosks once per month
o Train the Operator on her/his weaknesses to improve sales skills and sales
performance
o Be responsible to improve the sales of all kiosks
o Check cash levels and sales records
Experience and
Skills:
o Any certified Diploma
o 2-3 years of working experience
o Hands-on mentality, i.e. go immediately where the problem is and try to solve
it, yourself or ask immediately for adequate support; follow-up until the
problem is solved
o Entrepreneurial spirit that takes ownership of her/his cluster of 5-8 kiosks
to assure high sales performance
o Highly organized
o Very trustful
o High degree of capability to work independently with minimal supervision,
enthusiastic person.
Job Requirement:
o The Area Officer must live in the cluster center of the specific kiosk
network (cluster)in this case Msata.
o Willingness to move every day to the kiosks by public transport.
o Proficiency with standard office (in particular MS Word and MS Excel).
o Motorbike driving license an advantage, but not a must.
