Residential Childcare Workers are required by Cpl Healthcare for new opportunities in North County Dublin working as part of a high support service for children and young people aged 12-17 years with emotional and behavioural difficulties who require specialised care and education. These assignments will be offered on a full time, part time and relief basis.
To be considered for this role it is a requirement to have experience in the following specialty area: Residential Care, Youth Work or experience in a High Support Unit related setting is essential.
Job Responsibilities:
• To contribute to the promotion, creation and maintenance of a welcoming and caring environment and to a high standard of child care practice throughout the unit;
• To contribute to the provision of a programme of stimulating activities for the children and young people;
• To be attentive to the primary care needs of each young person;

The Candidate:
• A relevant qualification in Social Care, Applied Social Studies
• 1-2 years experience working in a mainstream and/or high support unit required
• Report writing skills
• Ability to relate to other professionals
• Permission to work in Ireland
• Professional approach to work
• Flexibility in work practice
• TCI training
• Children’s first guidelines
