The Academy
As you’re the future of our business, you can be sure we’ll make a significant investment in you. That means you’ll be working with some of the brightest people and most advanced technologies around in the media and telecommunications industries.
Helping you get fully immersed in our technology platforms, you’ll start the programme with intensive training in Agile and Java. Then you’ll go straight into working on live projects from around the business. Ideally, you’ll already have some relevant work experience in a mobile or web environment, but you’ll get all the guidance, support and encouragement you need to get to grips with how we do things.
Sky is fast-moving and always changing, so we’ll not only help you develop your technical skills, but also some vitally important ‘soft skills’ – such as how to work effectively as part of a project team.
And, in the space of just 12 months, upon successful qualification, you’ll be ready to start your career with us as an Associate Software Engineer within the Technology team at Sky – (Bonus TBC) where how far you can go is truly limitless too.
About you
You’ll need a degree, ideally 2:1 (preferably a technical discipline) a real passion for technology with some ability to write software in a modern programming language. We’re also looking for people who really stand out. People who can understand and excite others about the possibilities of web and mobile technologies and want to embrace every opportunity to learn and develop.
