For nearly 120 years Montefiore Home has cared for the aged of the community, enhancing Residents quality of life by providing an exceptional standard of service and care. This encompasses excellence in clinical care, residential lifestyle and allied health at our campuses across Sydney located in Randwick, Hunters Hill, Woollahra and Maroubra.
We are currently seeking an experienced Handyperson to join our maintenance team located at our aged care facility in Randwick. The successful candidate will have ideally worked in the aged care industry and be capable of undertaking the preventative maintenance programs that are currently in place.
Day to day tasks include, but are not limited to: repairs to beds, trolleys, walking frames, maintenance of Residents rooms, minor repairs of furniture, painting, replacing light globes and cleaning air conditioning filters.
Essential criteria:
• Basic computer literacy
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment
Desirable criteria:
• An understanding of Occupational Health and Safety issues
• The ability to establish and maintain good relationships
• Effective time management, planning and organisational skills
