Singer, Ciara shares her experience with pregnancy during COVID-19 pandemic

Singer, Ciara, who’s getting ready to welcome her third child is the cover star for British Vogue ‘s August issue.

The 34-year-old singer showcased her baby bump in a ribbed cream maxi dress for a glamorous British Vogue cover shoot.

She also spoke about the experience of pregnancy during the coronavirus pandemic and the importance of having a father figure like her friend, Russell Wilson, during the lockdown.

Ciara said on her way to the hospital for her ultrasound: ‘I wanted to be really cautious.’

‘I had a little ziplock bag of gloves for the appointment and then I had my mask. When I went from one room to the other, I switched to a new pair of gloves. 

 ‘When the image of the baby came on the screen, I FaceTimed Russ in the car so that he could see. 

‘We women carry the baby, but for my husband, being in the room and listening to the heartbeat in real-time is one of his ways of connecting. For him not to be part of that was a symbol of this time that we’re living through.’ 

Ciara, who confirmed her third pregnancy in January 2020, spoke about the challenges of parenting during the lockdown: ‘That break in the day when you send your kids to school is a luxury.’ 

Ciara added that Russell ‘s role as a father figure in the life of her unborn son is of utmost importance to her.

Highlighting Russell ‘s importance as a father figure in the life of her unborn son she said: ‘Your son gets to see how his dad treats a woman, and your daughter gets to see how you are loved.

‘I’m a daddy’s girl, and my dad’s love is what saved me in situations in my life when I could have taken a left turn.’ 

The “Level Up” hitmaker is expecting a son with Russell. It will the couple’s second child, as they also have three-year-old daughter, Sienna. Ciara also shares a six-year-old son with ex-fiance, rapper Future.
