DURATION
OF THE CONTRACT: Those who successfully complete the training and field
practice (both enumerators & data entry assistants) will sign a contract to
work for approximately 40 days.

on your feet’, and able to follow guidance from supervisors/managers

to work long hours and sometimes under adverse field conditions

be knowledgeable of ethics, practices & conduct in social research

show respect and non judgemental attitude towards respondents ideas, cultural
values and traditions
6.ability
to apply WALA implementing partners organizational values and the concept of
‘do no harm’ to data collection
7.must
be fluent in English in Chichewa (knowledge of yao or sena is an advantage)
8.highly
organized, flexible, punctual and with sober behavior at all times when
performing duties
Experience
1.no
previous experience in administering household level survey questionnaire is
required
2.ability
and willingness to accurately complete a given number of questionnaires each day
3.in depth
questioning and active listening skills
qualifications
1.strictly
graduates from any recognized university in social sciences, rural development,
agriculture or related fields
2.must
be able to follow and carry out instructions given by supervisors and willing
to learn from others’ guidance
3.those
with prior experience in entry of large volumes of data in any spreadsheet will
be considered for data entry assistant position if not successful for field
work
4.demonstrated
ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
