The University of
Melbourne is conducting an extensive search for candidates of exceptional
calibre for the position of Executive Director Strategy, Planning &
Performance, reporting to the Vice-Principal Policy & Projects in the
Chancellery.

The Executive
Director Strategy, Planning & Performance leads a team accountable for
coordinating the development and periodic review of the University’s Strategic
Plan, annual planning calendar, planning process, budget and reporting cycle,
and risk frameworks. The Executive Director Strategy, Planning &
Performance will chair the University’s Risk Management Advisory Group and
provide advice and support for the development of ancillary plans (including Division
business plans) and the University-wide planning framework.

The successful
candidate will engage extensively with senior stakeholders spanning the
University Executive, Chancellery Executive, University Services and academic
divisions, and work closely with the Director Business Intelligence to provide
leadership and support to the development of the University’s approach to
knowledge management and business intelligence. Other accountabilities will
include developing and implementing University-wide planning and performance
reporting techniques and performance measurement and review standards.

As Executive
Director Strategy, Planning & Performance you will have extensive
experience and demonstrated success in developing strategy, and leading planning
and performance reporting processes in large and complex organisations.
Tertiary qualified, strategic, articulate and collaborative, you have deep
understanding of the higher education sector and experience in developing
sector approaches to benchmarking and knowledge management. Your career will
highlight your exceptional leadership and management skills, capacity for
system wide thinking and creative problem solving.
