Our client has invested millions of dollars revamping their existing six inch facility, and developing a volume 8” fab working to exacting 0.35um. Their Newport facility is now the technology centre for all future NPI across the group, offering employees long term job security, enhanced career progression packages and real engineering careers. They are recruiting right across the board and need to make the key hire Senior Test Engineer.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the transfer of wafer level test solutions for mixed signal ICs from remote development sites into manufacturing. Working with development engineers to identify and resolve hardware, software and documentation issues with test solutions experienced during the transfer process. You will aim to improve the overall test environment to provide more efficient and cost-effective test solutions, identifying root causes for measurement accuracy, repeatability, reproducibility and test time issues. You will also have to develop and release test programs for derivative products.
Key Knowledge requirements:
* Programming in C / C++
* Mixed signal IC testing
* Strong understanding of engineering principles with an emphasis on power devices and analogue circuits
* Test debug and fault-finding
* Experience with Credence ASL1000 analog / mixed signal testers
* Experience with Cadence PCB tools for schematic capture and layout
Ideally you be a graduate in Electrical / Electronics Engineering or equivalent with several years’ industry experience working in a semiconductor wafer probe or final test production environment.
