Our Client is a
multi-disciplined company specialising in customised construction contracting
in structural steel, mechanical, plate work, and piping, The Company has been
awarded a contract for the Structural, Mechanical, Piping and Plate Work (SMPP)
for the Letlhakane Mine Tailings Resource Treatment Plant. The Company is
currently seeking to recruit suitably qualified and experienced applicants to
following position:
Job Summary
To perform and manage a wide variety of tasks throughout the complete life
cycle of the construction project in accordance with the commercial terms of
the contract.
Requirements
Main
Responsibilities
Main responsibilities will include liaison with architects, builders,
contractors, suppliers and project on matters relating to the project. He/she
will check on changes to designs to assess the effects on costs; assess and
recommend payment to contractors during construction. Furthermore, the
incumbent will be responsible for daily measurements and documentation of all
works carried out on site in preparation for monthly payments applications and submission
of final account. He/she will carry out weekly calculations of project
statistics to date in respect of earned value, earned man-hours and target
costs etc.
Qualifications,
Experience and Attributes
At least Diploma in Quantity Surveying, accreditation to a professional body
will be an advantage. A minimum of 5 years post qualification experience in a
civil engineering/construction/project environment.
