an employment opportunity exists in our Integrated
Communications department 
for a full-timeSenior Integrated Communications Specialist.
Reporting to the Manager, Marketing, this position is responsible for
developing strategies and implementation plans to execute a comprehensive and
cohesive marketing and media campaign for assigned programmes.
Major Responsibilities include:
• In consultation with the Manager, Marketing and Head of Integrated Media,
participate in the research, planning and development of comprehensive digital
media and online programs.
• Work with the Manager, Marketing on special projects such as anniversary
campaigns, special announcements and others of a similar nature.
• Devise and implement Marketing and Media Communication Strategies and Plans
for assigned areas of programming that span across all communication media
(online and offline) within budget requirements.
• Work with New Media, Social Media and Design departments and other creative
staff to produce marketing collateral in accordance with brand messages to
execute plan.
• Coordinate marketing initiatives to ensure projects are completed in a timely
manner, in line with department scheduling.
• Coordinate the implementation of online advertising campaigns and assist in
reporting and analysis.
• Coordinate and implement campaign-tracking measures across multiple channels.
• Gather programming information, write media releases on assigned programmes
for dissemination to all media platforms.
• Formulate and pitch strong story ideas to the media and create media
opportunities for coverage
• Organize interviews and photo opportunities, respond to telephone inquiries;
integrate with social media campaigns and attend events to coordinate media and
marketing activities.
• Monitor media coverage, evaluate the success of communications strategies,
create media and marketing reports and recommend improvements for future
events.
• Maintain ongoing contact with all media (local, national, international) and
cultivate new contacts. Maintain database
• Assist with social media efforts and provide content for Harbourfront Centre’s
blog and other social media platforms


 

Requirements:

Qualifications
We require a highly motivated, multi-disciplinary Senior
Integrated Communications Specialist with a passion for the arts to assist in executing
a variety of initiatives in a time sensitive environment. The ideal candidate
will be a post-secondary graduate in a marketing, communications or related
discipline with 3-5 years comparable experience in an arts organization,
preferably in the not -for -profit sector. The candidate should demonstrate
strong oral and written communication skills for all applications, as well as
superior organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.  He/she
must have demonstrated ability to effectively coordinate online and offline
marketing, media relations and social media initiatives from implementation to
completion. The incumbent must be computer literate, strongly versed with
online and social media opportunities. Experience with email marketing programs
and campaign analysis as well as with Google Analytics or other web analytics
programs is required. Knowledge of CP Style writing and local and regional
media is required. Ability to speak languages other than English, photography
and videography skills are considered assets.
