Our client is part of one of Australia’s largest community based organisations. They are working with Communities for Children in Alice Springs. They are developing a new innovative service- Therapeutic Intervention for Children Experiencing Trauma. It is anticipated that the program will be a specialised service targeting children between five and twelve years and linking in with existing family support services in Alice Springs.
Expressions of interest are invited from people who have a passion for working with vulnerable children and their families’, particularly in the context of providing culturally appropriate therapeutic responses.
Senior Counsellor:
•Responsible for the development and oversight of the program and quality service delivery.
•A clinician themselves, with experience working therapeutically with children.
•Able to provide supervision and support to a small team of other practitioners.
Counsellor:
•Full time clinician and therapeutic team member.
•Demonstrated competence and experience in the delivery of therapeutic services.
An exciting feature of this program will be the opportunity to work in partnership with nationally recognised children and trauma specialists as external mentors, providing intensive professional development, face to face supervision and training.
An attractive remuneration package is available. Eligibility to register as a Psychologist or Social Worker in the NT or APS /AASW membership and a current driver’s licence is required.
