Gilwell Park, Chingford with travel across the UK
Ref: 11/041
You will be responsible for giving support to local volunteer managers in responding to concerns or complaints affecting the safety and welfare of young people. You will also support the development and delivery of training materials, programme resources and guidance for the over 450,000 adults and young people in Scouting.
An excellent, discreet communicator with strong relationship-building skills, you must be able to deal sensitively with complex situations. Previous safeguarding experience, or a track record of working with volunteers, would be a strong advantage.
A full driving licence is essential, and you must be able to work flexible hours and travel long distances, sometimes at short notice. The Safeguarding Team operates an ‘on-call’ system out of office hours, so you need to be prepared to play your part in delivering this important service to our membership.
Enhanced CRB check required.
