PURPOSE
OF POSITION:

The
Intern in the Information Technology area will have an opportunity to learn
about a broad range of IT Support, IT Network and System Administration,
Operations and Management issues while providing support and giving assistance
to the SCI Rwanda team.

KEY
AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

- Learn/provide
basic end user Help Desk support - Observe/assist
IT Coordinator with: application software, Server management, Data backup
and archive, Network Administration and other Systems management and
maintenance. - Research,
evaluate and test hardware, software, vendors, technical issues, and
solutions. - Write
System/Process/Configuration documentation - Assist
IT Coordinator in troubleshooting advanced technical issues. - Other
duties as may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential
- Minimum
degree in Computer Science or related field. - Knowledge
to operate most ICT and office equipment - Good
interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and negotiate clearly
and effectively at all levels, taking into account cultural and language
difficulties. Tact and diplomacy are essential. - The
ability to work closely in a team, patience, adaptable, flexible, ability
to improvise and work in an environment that is often stressful and
potentially volatile. - Sensitive
