Samaritan’s Purse Assistant Finance Manager Job Vacancy in Liberia

Samaritan’s Purse Relief International is a Christian Organization operating in Liberia since 2004. Currently Samaritan’s Purse is working in Lofa, Gbarpolu, Nimba and River Gee Counties. Samaritan’s Purse International Relief Liberia is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the following position: Job Title: Assistant Finance Manager Reports to: Finance Manager Position Summary: This position works with the team to ensure responsible and accurate accountability of all income and expenditures.

Responsibilities:
• Supervising finance officers in the main office and the sub offices (Lofa, Gbarpolu and River Gee);
• Overseeing and recording all financial transactions in an organized and up-to-date manner;
• Ensure and Provide required monthly financial reports by specified deadlines in line with the Finance Manager;
• Maintain accuracy in financial records and perform other duties as assigned;
• Be in compliance with all donor and SP financial policies and regulations;
• Ensure adequate funds are on hand for all projects;
• Provide financial support to the program team;
• Assist the Base Manager in the management of SP resources;
• Ensure that SP policies and procedures are respected.

Duties:
• The Assistant Finance Manager will work closely with program staff to ensure compliance with both internal/ external controls and accurate complete financial documentation.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Business Administration Degree in Business/Accounting or related field;
• Minimum 3-5 years accounting experience with NGOs is a preference;
• Background experience and understanding of grant and reporting processes.

Skills:
• Must be: organized, disciplined, and detail oriented;
• Competency in Microsoft Office Suite – Excel in particular;
• Well-developed administrative skills.
