Quality System Manager

Responsibilities
• Plan, drive and facilitate the SHEQ workplan
• Development and implementation of policies, procedures and plans related to SHEQ training, compliance, emergency preparedness and business continuity (eg. facilities inspections, fire drills, pandemic preparedness)
• Maintain documentation related to various quality systems – ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and SS540.
• Ensure compliance with applicable legislation and regulations.
• Ensure timely reporting of accidents and incidents to management and government authorities
• Promote a positive organisational culture towards SHEQ issues through regular communication, experience-sharing and the implementation of best practices
• Maintain SHEQ databases. Ensure proper investigation, proper follow-up and reporting of accidents and incidents
• Plan and coordinate an internal audit programe, regulatory and internal reporting and the annual management review
• Set compliance objectives and ensuring that targets are achieved;
• Identify training needs and delivering training;
• Monitor the performance of our quality systems by collating and analysing performance data and charts against defined parameters;
• Liaise with external auditors and ensure the execution of corrective action and compliance with IMS’s requirements;
• Prepare management reports, analyses, presentations and minutes of meetings

Requirements:
• Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline
• Preferably at least 3 years of relevant experience in development and implementation of SHEQ programs
• Good working knowledge of applicable laws and regulations
• Attention to detail, initiative, and solution-oriented mindset
• Good interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in MS office applications
