RwandAir,
established in 2002 is the National Carrier for the Republic of Rwanda.
Considering that Rwanda is a land locked country, RwandAir was created as a
means of connecting the country to the outside world to facilitate and promote
investment and tourism. Indeed RwandAir mission statement is “to provide
unsurpassed, safe and reliable services in air transportation, including
strategically linking Rwanda with the outside world, while ensuring a fair
return on investment.” The majority share holding of the company is the
Government of Rwanda.
RwandAir is
interested in hiring hands-on industry expert to fill leadership positions at
Rwandair in order to support management at all levels in realizing its Vision
and Mission and ensure smooth on job training of in-house staff and seamless .
The successful candidates will for the period, under the direct supervision of
the GM Commercial and Senior Manager Sales, ensure a well and professionally
run airline that will ensure safe and reliable services while ensuring a fair
return on
investment.

Operations
Key tasks:
- Contribute
to the definition and development of Rwandair products portfolio
particularly Airport services - Apply
company standards and country’s laws for smooth and safe operations - Ensure
cost effective service delivery within agreed scope and standards. - Ensure
staff levels and shift patterns are optimized. - Ensure
a safe and secure environment in compliance with relevant legislative
/industry requirement. - To
ensure qualified/ and competent staff are placed through the stations. - Routine
monitoring of safety and quality critical activities within passengers and
ramp operations. - Ensure
compliance to the standards, procedures and processes of the operations
- Education
and Experience*
- University
Degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in Commercial Operations / the
Travel Industry of which a min. of 5 years at a senior level with a proven
track record. - Experienced
planning and managing extensive human and materiel resources. - Experienced
delivering service in demanding consumer perishable environment - Customer
service experience hospitality/airline industry
- Knowledge,
Skills and Abilities*
- Knowledge
of airport services and cargo operations. - Commercial
acumen with an overall knowledge of airline operations. - An
excellent command of the English language (written and verbal) is essential. - Financial
awareness. - Process
oriented - Knowledge
of IATA recommendations to airlines / travel
agencies for selling in the market.
