is a national non-governmental organization (NGO) dedicated to strengthening
strategies that empower Rwandan women since its inception in 1997 and has
extensive experience in fostering women’s participation and grassroots

Enhancing
organizational capacity to effectively deliver on RWN’s mission is one of RWN’s
strategic plan goals. The development of policies that enable a sustainable and
positive working environment is therefore a critical process. RWN seeks to
develop a Gender and Diversity policy which will help RWN ensure a balanced
workplace that harnesses the diversity within the organization for increased
efficiency. As an organization that promotes women’s empowerment and gender
equality, it is pivotal for RWN to have an environment that specifically caters
to the different values, needs and priorities of each gender respectively.
