MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB
To pursue and achieve RICTA’s Vision and Mission by
assisting and supporting the System & Network engineer in the
setup/installation, maintenance, and management of the information technology
systems. The duties shall involve system administration and software
development.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Install, maintain and manage LINUX/UNIX servers
systems ,ensure the servers systems are upgraded, updated ,secured and assist
with the update of the website ;perform software ,hardware upgrades and provide
IT technical assistance to office staffs as needed.

Suggesting and providing IT solutions to business,
management problems and documents systems setup/installation, maintenance and
management procedures; implementing the best current practice for backup as
required.

Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers systems
and associated systems, Improve operations by conducting systems analysis,
recommending changes in policies, procedures ,monitor system performance and
implements performance tuning.

Be the lead person for in-house software development
solutions by studying information needs, conferring with users, studying
systems flow, data usage, and work processes, investigating problem areas,
following the software development life cycle and ensuring that all IT
equipment complies with industry standards.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
Excellent IT skills in LINUX/UNIX servers
administration, General Programming Skills and software development life cycle

Web design languages such as PHP, JAVA, HTML, PYTHON,
CSS and Excellent problem-solving skills , ability to prioritize tasks

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A Bachelors Degree in Computer science, or Computer
Engineering or Information Technology or its equivalent

Minimum 2 years’ experience in System Administration,

Intermediate to advanced level of LINUX/UNIX knowledge
