The
RTO Doctor Course Development

Coordinator is responsible to the National
Operations Manager, who is based in Melbourne, Victoria. They will liaise with
clients and organise project plans for the development of AQF Qualifications,
Units of Competency and other courses and will oversee the work of the course
development team as they complete the project. The Course Development
Coordinator is responsible for the compliance and quality of the finished
course materials and must ensure that the course meets client and student
requirements.

The
course development team is multi-disciplinary and is located all around
Australia, so this position is to be undertaken from your home office and will
involve constant contact with the National Operations Manager and the course
development team via phone, email, video-conference and other collaborative
communication tools. Some travel may be required.
Key
Responsibilities
  • Liaise
    with client subject matter experts to develop full understanding of the
    nature of the project, the content to be developed and the requirements of
    the training and assessment program;
  • Develop
    Training and Assessment Strategy documentation and an associated project
    plan toward the completion of the qualification development project;
  • Coordinate,
    assign tasks to and oversee the work of the course development team as
    they complete the project work;
  • Ensure
    that the work of the course development team is compliant with the
    requirements of the VET Quality Framework, the AQTF, the Training Package
    and/or VET Accredited Course, any licensing/registration/accreditation
    requirements and is consistent with the requirements of the project plan;
    and
  • Thoroughly
    review and edit the work of the course development team for spelling,
    grammar and formatting.
Professional
Requirements
There
are minimum skills, knowledge and experience requirements for this role
however, the incumbent will undertake a thorough induction and training process
to learn the quality standards and requirements for product development and
service delivery under the RTO Doctor brand.
A
confidentiality and intellectual property agreement will be signed upon
commencement.
The
incumbent MUST be an approved member of the Australian VET Quality
Practitioners and Consultants’ Association (AVQPCA) relevant to their
employment role at RTO Doctor.  For the purposes of recruitment and
retention, if the applicant is not already a member or has commenced the
application process but it is not yet finalised, the applicant must have this
process finalised and be approved as a member relevant to their category of
membership prior to the probationary period being exhausted.  This will form
part of the probationary review.
