Duties and responsibilities:
• To provide product and technology leadership for the business as part of the senior management team.
• Direct ownership for all aspects of technology from technology strategy through to supporting operations.
• Direct accountability for all Product Delivery, including Development, Test and Implementation.
• Balance the commercial and operational needs of the business and its customers with the wider technology strategy and governance frameworks.
• Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the operations of the systems and disaster recovery.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures for improvement of the electronic data processing and computer systems operations.
• Recommend to management on system requirements, specifications, costs and timelines.
• Hire and manage information systems personnel responsible for the design, implementation, administration of the software networks and information systems.
• Manage & Control the computer systems budgets and expenditures.
• Ensure technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software.
• Management of troubleshooting hardware, software and network operating systems.
• Provide orientation & training to staff as well as users of the technology.
• Be proactive in finding solutions that bring about improvement in service delivery.
Qualifications and Skills:
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in Computer systems or ICT.
• Extensive experience in IT of over three years.
• Commercial understanding and ability to use technology to help drive business value.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver the benefits of IT to solve enterprise wide business issues while managing risk and cost.
• Proven track record in budget management.
• Strong organizational skills in managing central and dispersed IT/ IS resources and applications in addition to coordinating multiple IT related initiatives and projects.
• Detailed knowledge of the activities within the IT operational and infrastructure support function.
• Strong communicator with the ability to influence senior member’s management.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Must be Rwandan.
