If you’re the person we’re looking for, you’ll relish
this role that requires you to draw on all of the skills your previous
experience has given you. You might be a graduate having recently finished
studies, or a draftsperson / building designer with up to 5 years experience,
looking to move into a role that offers plenty of scope to grow. Whatever your
experience, you will be proficient using CAD and Revit, and be a great problem
solver. Your position will be an integral part of our practice, so you’ll
also be self-motivated and you’ll work well autonomously while being a team
player. Ideally you will have had some

residential homes: new homes and extensions, or alternatively working on aged
care (advantageous but not necessary) .

In your role as a draftsperson, you will be involved
in every part of a project from start to finish. You’ll report to the Senior
Draftsperson.

On a day-to-day basis your position will include the
following major roles:

- Drafting
- Some design work
- Seeing jobs through council planning
- Some client liaison – communication by phone and
sometimes face-to-face - Dealing with councils, consultants,
builders.
This role will require:
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Revit and
AutoCAD - An understanding of the Building Code, Building
Act, ResCode, and Council Planning Codes - Completion of an Advanced Diploma in Building
Design and Drafting (or similar) - Good construction knowledge
