Research/Documentary Assistant
Type: 20-hour contract, possible extension

Location: Quebec/Ontario or anywhere in Canada (via Skype & phone meetings)
This posting is for an agriculture research/documentary assistant.
This project involves conducting research on current farming issues,
contacting Canadian small farmers and using this information to create
and/or edit questions for an interactive farmer role-play game. The
game is designed to teach people about the issues and highlights
Canadian small farmers face on a day to day basis, thus a background
in agriculture is essential. If you p
ossess a background in Canadian
agriculture, and strong writing and communication skills then we look
forward to hearing from you. Since the project involves
creating/editing questions for the game and creating a
trivia/storyline based script any experience with web/internet design
is considered an asset. If you have an agricultural sciences degree
from a university or college, experience working on or growing up on a
farm and love/ excel at writing then consider this position your ideal
job!
In addition to the specified requirements, candidates must possess
strong organization skills and must be available for work between
May-July 2014. The current contract is for 20 hours of work with
possibilities of extension (10-20 additional hours). Hourly wage will
range from $15-25/hr based on experience.
Please note that work can be done at a distance, so you do not need to
be based in Quebec or Ontario in order to take on the position,
however you will need to be available for phone/skype meetings.
