Flower Farmer Helper
Roots and Shoots Farm is looking for a pe
rson to help part-time with
our cut flower production.
We grow cut flowers for sale to florists, grocery stores and we do
select events throughout the summer. We are looking for an energetic
candidate to help on Mondays and Tuesdays with harvest, weeding,
pruning, washing buckets, and other flower- farm work. We may also
need occasional help with event preparation on Fridays and Saturdays,
but it is not mandatory to be available.
The ideal candidate should
• be physically fit
• have an ability work independently
• have problem solving ability
• Have a driver’s license
• Have an interest in Flower Farming
• Previous farming or flower design work is an asset but not a requirement
Tasks include:
• Harvesting
• Weeding
• Seeding
• Transplanting
• Digging
• Preparing and spraying Compost Tea
• Washing buckets
• Delivering
• Some design work.
Position Details
• starts May 11 and Ends October 15.
• Mondays : 8-1 (6hours)
• Tuesday: 6-2 (8hours)
• $12/hour
• Free Flowers
