Scholarship Description: The successful candidate is responsible for the conduct of field experiments on crops and cropping systems in relation to technologies to increase crop and cropping system water productivity.

Roles and responsibilities – Supervise the implementation of field and greenhouse experiments relevant to increasing the water productivity of rice and rice-based cropping systems, including overseeing crop management, all monitoring (crop, soil and water-related) and processing of plant, soil and water samples.
– Coordinate with IRRI experimental station, IRSs, PDFs and NRSs for the effective implementation of field and greenhouse experiments.
– Enter and analyse experimental data, including statistical analyses; scrutinize data and results; prepare graphs
– Draft reports and present research results at meetings and local conferences / workshops – Prepare data for input into crop models and conduct basic simulations.
– Other duties may be assigned by Supervisors
