Description
:
Applications are invited for the position of Research Assistant in the
laboratory of Professor Michael Marber. The postholder will focus on
biochemical techniques to identify substrates of p38 nitrogen-activated protein
kinase. The post is based within the Cardiovascular Division, Rayne Institute
(King’s St Thomas’ Hospital campus) as part of the King’s College London BHF
Centre of Research Excellence. The BHF Centre provides an excellent highly
multidisciplinary environment with state-of-the-art equipment and
facilities.Previous training and experience in the area of protein kinase
chemistry is preferred. Minimum qualifications are a degree in a relevant
discipline with expertise in molecular and cell biology or genetics. Candidates
should be highly motivated individuals with excellent communication skills, and
have the ability to work independently.
value:The appointment will
be made, dependent on relevant qualifications and experience, within the Grade
5 scale, currently £28,327 to £32,445, per annum, inclusive of £2,323 London
Allowance, per annum.
