The Rwandan Organization of
Professional Counselors ARCT – Ruhuka  is a National Nonprofit making
Organization , formed in April 30th 1998 and officially registered under the
Ministerial Decree No.97/11 on 28 July, 2004 and registered by Rwanda
Governance Board  (RGB).  The organization was started to support survivors
of psychological trauma, through integrated and holistic services for
prevention, care, and healing to facilitate recovery for sustainable unity and
reconciliation, peace and development.

The Rwandan organization of

intervenes in the psychosocial field and operates countrywide. ARCT-Ruhuka is
looking for 1 qualified consultant for conducting a midterm evaluation of two
years project and collecting most significant story of change in Kigeme camp Nyamagabe
District in South.
CONSULTANT FOR CONDUCTING A
MIDTERM EVALUATION AND MOST SIGNIFICANT STORY OF CHANGE
In partnership with financial
support from GIZ /Civil peace service (CPS) Refugee component, ARCT-Ruhuka
wishes to recruit a consultant to help to conduct a midterm evaluation of two
years project and to collect success stories.
The purpose of this
consultancy is to conduct a midterm evaluation of two years project and collect
success stories and provide a report in English.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under the supervision of ARCT
–Ruhuka, the consultant will be responsible for preparing a short evaluation to
trained categories of beneficiaries and collect success stories from these
categories with attention on the following:
  • To
    carry out a mid-term evaluation and collect most significant stories
  • Make
    sure that the midterm evaluation goes together with the designed
    monitoring and evaluation framework; a copy will be provided to the
    consultant.
  • Based
    on the content delivered to different beneficiaries, the consultant will
    evaluate if the content has been captured in order to see how to rephrase
    or adding for the sustainability purpose
  • An
    English written report including both midterm evaluation and most
    significant

    skills in mental health/psychosocial
  • To have
    skills in monitoring and Evaluation
  • Good
    communication skills
  • Experience
    in conducting such evaluation and collecting most significant  stories
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
  • Master’s
    degree in project studies/monitoring and Evaluation plus 3 years’
    experience in this domain
  • Previous
    experience in the project evaluation and success stories collection.
  • Experience
    in working with vulnerable people especially the refugees and having an
    idea about their psychosocial needs is an added value.
LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Proficiency in English and
Kinyarwanda is required. French is an added value.
DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT
The duration of the
assignment shall be 6 full working days including 1 day for preparation and 1
day for reporting.
