We welcome all
volunteers who would like to teach in our school in St.Paul nursery and primary
school – which is soon closing but will re-open in early feb 2015. Please
contact RAHHA so we cansecure aplacement for you inadvance. Our volunteers are
not charged any fee, yet the life experience in Bugembe, and Jinja in general
is so exciting. We incoportae other leisure activites in our volunteers’
timetables such as tour a round the historial sites of uganda – most of which are
located in Jinja. – we also welcome support fro
m remote volunteers who can give
us administarive support such as cordination in their regions for other

How
to apply

Please email us your
resume or a list of your skills/interests, and a Statement of Interest telling
us why you want to come live and volunteer in Uganda. Try to apply well in
advance of when you’re traveling.

You need to be at
least 16 years old, speak English, and be in relatively good health to
volunteer with RAHHA.

THE COST

Volunteering with
RAHHA does not require any payment. However, all volunteers will cover their
own basic needs including airport pick-up fee, first night hotel (if needed),
transport to your placement, food and accommodation while volunteering.

Volunteers further
more shall cover their own airline tickets, visas, vaccinations, drinking
water, leisure activities, or medical services. You’ll likely need $20-$40 a
week to support a basic life which includes drinking water, internet,
transport, and a few western treats such as coffee and chocolate. Safaris and
white water rafting are a bit more expensive. Check out a Lonely Planet or
