Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
The Land of the Living Skies, specifically the Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region, are in urgent need of and can provide some exciting opportunities for Diagnostic Sonographers who will perform a variety of ultrasound duties and techniques to assist with the detection and diagnosis of conditions and diseases.
A number of different in-scope work arrangements including Permanent Full Time, and Temp Full Time are available. We would be willing to consider December grads to fill PFT positions with a Jan 2012 start date. Also we could accommodate applicants who wish to work on a locum basis.
Qualified applicants will have a Diagnostic Medical Sonography Diploma, and will be certified with ARDMS and CARDUP. They should possess good computer, communication and analytical skills and be able to work independently.
The Regina General Hospital has 6 Scan rooms, Medical and Surgical ICU, NICU and Emergency Department. The successful candidate may assist in the Angio Suite with interventional ultrasound procedures. The Pasqua Hospital has a Breast Assessment Program, Prostate Assessment Program, 3 Scan rooms, and an Emergency Department. The Pasqua Hospital is also associated with the Cancer Clinic. Both hospitals include an on-site gym.
