Key Duties and Responsibilities:  
  • The Reservations Manager will be
    tasked with dealing with customer enquiries and communicating with clients
    with the aim of meeting their expectations.
  • Researches and books flights,
    ground transportation, hotel, excursions and provides travelers with
    directions and destination information
  • In charge of planning and costing
    complicated travel itineraries
  • Providing general and specific
    advice on destinations, resorts, airline companies and a wide range of
    travel products
  • Work closely with suppliers such
    as ground transport operators to make suitable arrangements
  • Building, strengthening and
    maintaining relationships with Industry partners
  • Creating and maintaining relevant
    records
  • Financial management of accounts
    and cash flow. Invoicing of clients and controlling expenditure
  • Performing general administrative
    tasks
  • Dealing with and documenting
    complaints in an efficient and diplomatic manner
  • Supervising and evaluating
    performance of staff
  • Formulating and implementing
    organizational policies and procedures
  • Planning and supporting sales and
    marketing activities
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:  
  • The applicant for the Reservations
    Manager career opportunity should hold a bachelor’s degree in Business
    Administration, Commerce, Travel and Tourism Management or any other
    related field.
  • Working knowledge and experience
    in the tour and travel industry
  • Working knowledge and experience
    in operations and business management
  • Knowledge and experience in
    financial & accounting practices
  • Knowledge and experience in sales
    and marketing concepts is an added advantage
  • Knowledge and experience in Air
    Ticketing and GDS knowledge is an added advantage
  • Display initiative and ownership
    and capability of making sound judgments
  • Demonstrate proactive and can-do
    solution driven approaches
  • Strong planning and organizational
    skills
  • Innovation and energy with the
    desire to drive others
  • Excellent command of both written
    and spoken English
  • Passionate interest in geography,
    strong domestic and international travel knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal and
    communication skills
  • Skills to persuade customers and
    influence their decisions, both for their own benefit and that of the
    agency
  • Ability to multitask
  • Proficient IT skills
