Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- The Reservations Manager will be
tasked with dealing with customer enquiries and communicating with clients
with the aim of meeting their expectations. - Researches and books flights,
ground transportation, hotel, excursions and provides travelers with
directions and destination information - In charge of planning and costing
complicated travel itineraries - Providing general and specific
advice on destinations, resorts, airline companies and a wide range of
travel products - Work closely with suppliers such
as ground transport operators to make suitable arrangements - Building, strengthening and
maintaining relationships with Industry partners - Creating and maintaining relevant
records - Financial management of accounts
and cash flow. Invoicing of clients and controlling expenditure - Performing general administrative
tasks - Dealing with and documenting
complaints in an efficient and diplomatic manner - Supervising and evaluating
performance of staff - Formulating and implementing
organizational policies and procedures - Planning and supporting sales and
marketing activities
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- The applicant for the Reservations
Manager career opportunity should hold a bachelor’s degree in Business
Administration, Commerce, Travel and Tourism Management or any other
related field. - Working knowledge and experience
in the tour and travel industry - Working knowledge and experience
in operations and business management - Knowledge and experience in
financial & accounting practices - Knowledge and experience in sales
and marketing concepts is an added advantage - Knowledge and experience in Air
Ticketing and GDS knowledge is an added advantage - Display initiative and ownership
and capability of making sound judgments - Demonstrate proactive and can-do
solution driven approaches - Strong planning and organizational
skills - Innovation and energy with the
desire to drive others - Excellent command of both written
and spoken English - Passionate interest in geography,
strong domestic and international travel knowledge - Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills - Skills to persuade customers and
influence their decisions, both for their own benefit and that of the
agency - Ability to multitask
- Proficient IT skills
