Responsibilities:
Overall Function
To prepare project drawings.
Specific objective
• Production of conceptual and detailed layout and surveys
• Production of design drawings
• Initiation of squad checks
• Generation of MTO’s
Specific Accountabilities
• Working within budgeted staff hours
• Working to a given schedule
• Accuracy of design documentation and MTO’s
• Working to and using the company management system
• Compliance to company, client, local and international standards as given in the project PEP
• Quality Assurance – Responsible for working within the provisions and guidelines of the Quality Assurance system relevant to the BU, etc
• Safety – Responsible for personal safety safe working practices for the BU, etc. Understand and follow OH&S procedures.
Requirements:
Essential:
Candidate must have excellent computer skills with AutoCAD or Microstation, excellent skills with MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access, ability to create accurate design drawings from base project information, reporting, estimating and supervision skills
Desirable: Keen computer hobbyist and practical
Company Specific: 4years experience within design office
Job Specific: Very self motivated, Inventive design skills, Drafting, Layout and Graphical Skills, Budget
and achievement focused
Essential: Diploma of Engineering Technology in relevant discipline
Desirable: Trade Apprenticeship, Advance Diploma of Engineering Technology in relevant discipline.
Competencies
Estimating, Conceptual Design, Drawing Production, Mathematics, Computing, Graphical Presentation, Communication in English.
