Scholarship Description: The Queensland Resources Council (QRC) offers the QRC/ Griffith University (GU) Education Scholarship to recognise high achieving pre-service teachers undertaking mathematics, science and technology specialisations, who have demonstrated an interest in teaching in resources sector communities. The Scholarship is open to final-year Griffith University students who are enrolled in a Bachelor or Graduate Diploma of Education degree in 2012. The Scholarship provides an opportunity for the recipient to engage in professional development and networking activities associated with the sector to increase their understanding of the industry, and to highlight career opportunities for teachers in resources sector communities. The Scholarship will be presented at a GU ceremony. QRC may also choose to conduct a subsequent presentation at a Resources sector function in the year of the Award. The Scholarship is valued at $2000 paid in two installments
