Introduction:
My client is a well established, worldwide capital equipment design and manufacturer.
An exceptional opportunity has now arisen for a Purchasing Supervisor who will be responsible for ensuring the execution of all manufactured and purchased supply requirements coupled with managing the Purchasing and Materials team.
The Role:
Reporting to the Materials Manager, key contribution areas include:
• Providing leadership and management to the Purchasing and Materials team.
• The creation and review of all purchase requisitions.
• To conduct research to ascertain suitable sources of supply, market trends and adjust purchase tactics accordingly.
• To prepare, issue and review bids/quotations.
• Management of the Manufacturing Order ERP recommendations, including creation, scheduling of orders and drawing packages.
The Candidate:
You will have solid Purchasing and Supply Chain experience, gained in a manufacturing/engineering environment. Experience managing people is essential.
