Main Purpose
To identify, prioritise and develop new products for and drive the NPD process by applying marketing research, market intelligence and information to attain growth objectives; Lead and support the advancement of new product development initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
• Involved in the development of annual brand budgets, operating plans and forecasting
• Implementation of brand plans and budgets.
• Ensure brand activities are carried out efficiently and effectively
• Take products from concept to commercialization.
• Co-ordinate all relevant departments activities to keep the NPD process going
• Continuous evaluation of brand performance and recommend strategies to respond to market changes and dynamics.
• Maintain high positive image for the Company among key publics.
• Keep abreast of and report on new developments in marketing

• Achievement of sales budget by product SKU and value
• Market share
• Achievement of brand objectives
• Cost control
• Evaluation and launch of new products
Qualifications
• Diploma in marketing
• Degree in Veterinary medicine is an added advantage
Key competencies –knowledge and skills
• 3 years experience in brand marketing.
• Experience in the field sales would be an added advantage.
• Experience in the animal health or from mature brands.
• Growth of new products is critical.
• The Company is expanding into regional markets and new product areas (agro-chemicals).
• Good Communication Skills
• Marketing and Selling skills
• Excellent planning & organising skills
• Good project management skills are key
• Good negotiation skills
• Fully competent in computer applications
