REPORTS TO: HEAD OF AVIATION SECURITY
DUTY STATION: KILIMANJARO
Role Purpose Statement:
Ensure full implementation and enforcement of security
standards and procedures that provide safe and secure environment for business
at the airport and off airport locations station wide.
Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities
• Proactively supervise overall security operations at the station in relation to
passenger, employee, baggage and cargo to ensure day to day operational
compliance with the company’s and Airport Security manuals, procedures, and
processes
• Operate an efficient and secure shift system that will provide for productivity
• Ensure timely issuance of airport movement passes, for the airline staff,
contractors and visitors as applicable.
• Encourage consistent dialogue with security operations staff and continuously
assess, review and discuss their performance with them to ensure compliance
with set standards.
• Build good working relationships with security providing partners at the airport
to facilitate timely/immediate solution of any security issues affecting parties on
the ground.
• Regularly review and update operational procedures and processes at the
station in accordance with guidance from Senior Security Officer (network
supervisor)
• Provide guidance and advice to passenger profiling staff on emerging passenger
profiling and document examination issues in order to reduce security incidents.
• Regularly and promptly report and discuss any issues/incidents of security
concern to supervisor
• Investigation of security related incidents e.g. Commission or attempt to commit
acts of unlawful interference, theft, fraud and breach of related measures
• Filing of criminal cases for the company as appropriate and monitor/report the
processes for expedition
• Ensure full implementation and enforcement of security standards and
procedures that provide safe and secure environment for business station
wise at the airport and off airport locations.

• Effective Compliance of security programs and compliance of measures by
relevant staff/3rd parties i.e outsourced GHA, Security companies & relevant
stakeholders
• Customer Feedback (+/-)
• Statistics and trend of security incidents
• Zero occurrence of incidents resulting from absence of appropriate
procedures/measures at the particular station
• Action of reported issues
• Staff Reporting of incidents requiring attention of management
• Accurate reports
• Detection of facts, deficiencies assisting to prevent risk of company loss of
resources/reputation
• Service provider compliance with contractual obligations
• Staff punctuality

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE
• University Graduate, Diploma or equivalent in social studies
• 2 years of relevant security experience
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
• Basic IT knowledge.
• Ability to demonstrate aviation security knowledge and skills of the mentioned
responsibilities
